Really bad experience with Bluestar 1.5 ton spilt inverter AC that I purchased 4 years back. Year 1, it stopped cooling, only to be told that gas has leaked due to some leakage from the coil in inner unit. The service engineer welded the coil and refilled the gas. Year 2, again there was no cooling, service engineer informed that some part of the coil might not have been repaired fully previously, again repaired and filled the gas. Year 3 again, the AC stopped cooling. As problem was again with the coil, I insisted on replacing the coil as it was under AMC. With great difficulty, the service engineer agreed to get the coil replaced. This year I.e. year 4, in April, again it stopped cooling. Service engineer informed that coil was ok, did some pressure check on compressor, took the compressor to lab and restored after few days, stating that compressor is OK, gas might have leaked due to loose connection of the coil that connects with outer unit. Now, in Aug, again AC has stopped cooling. The service engineer informed that there is leakage from the coil in inner unit, welding is temporary solution and I should get the coil replaced. The coil carries only 1 year of warranty and cost approx 12000. When I asked what is the assurance that the new coil would not leak, service engineer told that coil carries only 1 year of warranty. I am surprised as I have used carrier AC for 15 years in same apartment in sector 13, Rohini, Godrej AC for 9 years and am currently using Hitachi and Daiken AC in other rooms in my flat, never have I faced this kind of repeat problem. I have serious doubt on the quality of Bluestar AC, and would not recommend anyone to purchase this product.
My latest complaint no. B23080500259 with Bluestar is still open, in the hope that I would get proper diagnosis of the problem and resolution to the same.
