Blue star is one of the most trusted brand in air conditioners, and they boast a lot about the support that they give once the product is delivered and all that they boast about isTRUE. We had booked a flat a year ago in Thane, me and my parents are staying at the same place, but my brother decided to shift thane as he was working there and it would be convenient for him to travel for job from thane. We decided to fit an AC so we scouted for brands which we should prefer. From past experience and opinions from friends we opted for blue star. Almost everyone suggested us blue star, next being LG and then Samsung. We were anyways not interested in Samsung, but it was atough decision to choose between Blue star and LG. Finally after hearing that the support was awesome we opted for Blue star as we needed a brand that would provide good support.
After doing a lot of research on latest products, we found this one much cheaper than other brands offering the samespecifications so we opted for this one. There was no perfect reason as to why did we opt for windows over split, but it didn't matter in the end.
We din't have a huge requirement so 1 Tonnage was sufficient to satisfy our requirement. The room weren't that huge so we preferred 1 ton over 2 ton and the power consumption too was a factor so 1 ton was always the choice.
Right from the time when we contacted blue star, they have provided excellent support to us. They are available all time, and every six months one person comes for inspection and support. We actually stressed a lot on support because my brother is always at work, so he does not have time to get in contact with support guys if there is any problem. Many a times I have seen people complaining about not receiving proper support and keep abusing the brands and the customer service people. Till now whenever we have contacted the customer service people they have resolved our problem.
I remember this one incident when we had set up our ac a year ago, there was some noise coming so we immediately contacted the support guys and they came home the next day. They inspected and told us that the noise was due to the ac was just installed and would be fine in few days. Initially we opposed him and made fusses once he left, but after few weeks the noise stopped, and they did call us after a month to inspect about the noise.
Coming to the Quality, this ac is top notch and till now it's working just great andexceeded our limitation. We expected that we would face some problem due to the fluctuating voltage and load shedding taking in remote areas of thane but till date there hasn't been any problem with our ac.
A couple of times we weren't getting hold of the ac but the support guys did come to the rescue and later we realized that it wasn't a issue at all. Lack of knowledge and not reading the manual led to this situation.
The Ac is quite reliable too and after installing the ac we have just forgotten completely about the ac, in short it has taken care of itself. Wish the flaps could have been a bit more strong.
As I told you, initially there was some sound coming from the ac but as time passed everything got fine. The cooling is quite uniform, and well defined. One thing that irritates me about the ac was that the flaps makes some noise at times. Actually my smaller brother while playing cricket smashes the flaps and from then noise started coming from the flaps. This happened few days ago, and would fix it soon. The flaps should have been a bit more hard.
The cooling also exceeded our expectation, and we didn't expect that a window ac would give a uniform cooling. Post buying our ac, many people questioned us that why we didn't opt for split ac as it was better option but still windows mounted are not bad. Till date I have beensatisfied with my ac.
The rates of this ac has fallen down, post our purchase. We had purchased the ac for 22, 500 including all expenses but now the same ac is available for19-20, 000.
Still I would say this ac was worth for the money we paid. If you are opting for an ac consider this one. Even though being windows ac, it is very good and would exceed your expectation.
