HDFC sent my cheque book through Blue Dart. After not receiving it for many days - I went to their site to check the status. to my surprise it was mentioned as "returned". I called their office & the IVR said that I can only call during weekdays!
Called them again today morning & was told that they tried delivering on 9th April & my maid told them that I was not at home - inspite of the fact that I don't have a maid & I was home the whole day that day! Anyways - the agent told delivery can be done only sometime during the week now. When I told them that I need to travel from next day - was rudely told - nothing can be done! After few minutes of coaxing - was told that delivery will be done between 3-6 pm - but for that I need to be home! I cancelled my meeting to get my cheque book. kept waiting but no one came!
Called their call center again & I was VERY rudely told that delivery will not be done today & can be done next day only - I told my story again - but the guy was adamant that nothing can be done! I asked him for the email ID of the CEO - which he refused to provide. to an extent he even refused to provide the name of the CEO (seems he was too ashamed to tell his name - or didnt even knew who his CEO was)!
Anyways - I pushed him to make me talk to his supervisor - for which he put me on hold & came back after 10 minutes saying supervisor is not available! When I refused to put down the phone - finally I was made to talk to a lody supervisor who quickly confirmed to me that she has talked to the local office & delivery will be done in 30 minutes!
Though finally the delivery was done in 30 minutes - had left a bad taste for Blue dart. And this is not because of this one incidence - have had many such incidences with Blue dart itself!
Not sure why big companies like HDFC etc are still using their services!
