Recently I have had experience with Blue Dart Courier service from which I can tell that this is the worst courier service in India.


On 12 August 2015, I ordered a book from Amazon. Amazon has free delivery option for this book. It took 5 days for Blue Dart to pickup the book from the seller facility, that is on 17 August 2015. Then I started tracking the book. On 21 Aug 2015 the book is arrived at the HUB in our city.


So just because it was arrived there in the evening, they updated the tracking status as "Delivery in next business day". On 22 August, I was hoping that the book will be delivered to me. But when it was afternoon, I thought something is wrong & instantly checked the tracking status and saw that they have updated it with "Out of Delivery Area"! I tried to call at their phone number but they are so non-responsive that they never picked the phone. I tried like 50-60 times. I wanted to ask what the problem is with the delivery.


I then contacted Amazon Customer care & they said that don't worry, the item will be delivered on 24 August 2015. So I waited. Then on Sunday, Blue dart has updated the same "Out of Delivery Area" status for my item. I again contacted Amazon Customer care on 24 August & they said the same thing & will request the Courier team to deliver the item.


On 26 August 2015, I again contacted the customer care at Amazon & they repeated the same thing. The estimated delivery date of the item was 28 August 2015 so they said to not worry, the item will be delivered by 28 August. So I waited. Since the first day this Blue Dart was updating the status for my item as "Out of Delivery Area". On 28 August, I again contacted Amazon & they repeated the same thing.


And my item was not delivered on 28 August 2015. On 29 August 2015, I contacted Amazon about this & finally they said that my address doesn't come under delivery area of Blue Dart, so they told me to go to their office & collect the same. And the amount of expense I would have spent for going to their office, will be transferred to my Amazon gift card account. But I told them I will cancel the order & not interested to go to their office.


The office is in the same city I live in but Blue Dart can't deliver the product. It's not only me, I have seen many reviews against it because it most of the time doesn't deliver the goods to the addressees. Okay, if they have some problem to deliver the items, they should be picking up the phone & tell us what is the problem is & could ask us to come & receive the item by ourselves. But they are so unprofessional that they don't even pick up the phone. They indeed are the WORST courier service in India.


I just can't understand why even they exist if they can't deliver the items.
