Everyone of us has an inherent urge to jot down his/her feelings, anticipations, frustrations and everything that can ever be converted into words. Well, MS is a fantastic place to cerebrate one's opinions, but can there be an alternative which doesn't impose any constraints on the writing capabilities of the individuals who w'd otherwise have been left unattended as to their flow of thoughts ?

The Buzzword that's been doing rounds for quite a while now, is BLOGGING. It can literally be translated as WEB LOG. The meaning can further be trimmed into something which implies unhindered, NO-HOLDS-BARRED Writing, just pure writing, that is simply titleless. When one says that he/she's into blogging, it means he's a writing freak who's gone public on the net. There's a budding writer in everyone of us who just needs the right kind of exposure to overcome the barriers of nervousness and break the cocoon of anonymity to shine in the field of writing. Gone were the days when the learned few had the opportunity to wield the pen and scribble in the ink. The English-Savvy generation of the present attaches phenomenal importance to the deployment of the language in every walk of life. The advancement of technology has brought about such a considerable awakening in the mindset of the common man that he's virtually swept off the feet at the sight of a computer and a Web Browser. The writing need not require the service of a pen and paper as the diminutive hillocks of the keyboard are always at your service and the refreshing monitor provides a virtual document a la Notepads, Wordpads etc to let you serve an ace.

One need not pour over mammoth volumes of an Oxford or Webster to pile up a list of the choicest words or phrases to adorn his showpiece. On the other hand, you can actually be at your original best composing sentences one after another that can stir many an emotions or stretch the laugh line. Your articles need not comply to the standards of stylish writing or generalized themes. The best part as I have earlier touched upon is the sense of absolute freedom that the writer comes to terms with. You can pen down as to how your day went by, investigate the dream you were subject to the other night, comment on any socio-political issue, woo your soulmate through heartwarming poetry and the list moves on... The Sky is the Limit.

Blogging actually provides a chance to all the people like the CHOSEN ONES in MS to put their literary artefacts on the Internet. It subsequently confirms one's identity on the internet. Blogger.com is the alma mater of all blogging related activities. A free web site par excellence, it provides a chance to all individuals to nourish their writing flair. They say 'Push Button Publishing for the People' and throw open unfathomable writing space for all of us who crave to express their heart out through words. In the age of Space Compaction, where increasing competitiveness has resulted in the exhaustion of spaces of all variety, Blogger.com puts forth incalculable Writing Space to all those who aspire to carve a niche for themselves in the field of articulate treatise. One gets his personal webspace or blogsite that in itself is a website where he/she rules in terms of sheer artistic finesse.

Now, I'll discuss how to go about the entire process. One needs to visit the https://blogger.com site and get him/herself a login and password after wading through the mundane registration ceremony. The website presents a neat & clean look with a gentle sprinkle of Orange & Navy Blue although on the extreme left column one can catch sight of the 10 recently published Blogs. Once you acquire a login name for yourself, all you need to do is perform the login and give a name to the Blogsite you are going to be the proud owner of. Then follows, the process of setting up a few key parameters like Blog definition where you type in a preface to your yet to be born Blog and tick an option as to whether you want your blogsite to be a Public one. Provided you choose to make it a public blog, the same would appear across all the cyber frontiers of the world. Otherwise, it'd be a private blog confined to your dormitory. Then race up the remaining setup issues like publishing, archiving, formatting etc, where you are asked to provide the 'http' address of your blogsite i.e., https://<myblogsite>.blogspot.com. You need to enter the name of the blog that you'd have thought upon earlier, in place of <myblogsite>. The formatting aspect is pretty self-explanatory emphasizing on the Time/Date format, no. of articles per page, monthly/weekly archiving etc. Next appears the Template section, which guides you to revamp your blogsite given you have a basic understanding of Web Languages/HTML. You can choose the most enchanting of blog templates that suit your Blog from the available list of Templates in Blogger.com. Finally, Your much awaited Blog site is ready to be unveiled...

And yes, Don't forget to submit your Blogsite to Google failing which you won't be able to perform a search for your coveted castle. You should submit your blogsite at https://google.com/addurl.html

You can opt to write an introductory article like the famous 'Hello World' much to the delight of all software professionals, which will appear in the browser when you visit your own blogsite for the first time. Blogger provides options like Manage Posts, Publish Status, View Blog etc along with Create Post in the Posting Section. You can re-edit the earlier blog articles which you might have posted as they find rest under the Manage post sub category. The site has been given a fresh look over the years and is constantly evolving with a view towards catering to the needs of people with diverse interests, taste and viewership. One can curiously peek at the site updates (No Scrolling Marquees or fancy Windows stuff please, We are under GNU Open Source) that welcome an unsuspecting user to the Blogger home page. Also, there're no restrictions as to the number of Blogs an user can create. In order to keep your blogsite bubbling with articles, all you need to do is to log on to Blogger.com and create a new post that w'd automatically get published if you desire to perform a republication, in addition to the exisiting contents.

You would do good to visit a few Commenting sites like HaloScan ( http://www.haloscan.com) that would give you substantial information regarding provisions for getting FeedBacks for your writing. The next time an avid reader chances upon your website and gets floored admiring your writings, he'll find it easy to leave behind an encouraging message much in the line of 'Comment on the Opinion' tool in MS. HaloScan requires a chunk of code to be Copied & Pasted in your Blogsite for the commenting design to get invoked. This can be done by pasting the requisite piece of code into the Blog Template textbox which stations your Blogger-Specific code.

I'm into irrepressible blogging of late. The moment I discovered the prim interiors of Blogger.com, I could not resist the temptation of creating my blogsite. If you are not caught short on time, please visit the blogsite,
