I have never been a fan of BlackBerry since the time I laid my hands on Android smartphones. But those were the days when BlackBerry used to rule the market, and considered as the first best choice for professionals. But in time, the charm faded as more and more advanced handsets emerged in the market.

After long wait, BlackBerry returned with BB Z3, Z10, Passport and Classic but failed to mark its presence in the entire nation. It launched both affordable and premium handsets for both professionals and next-gen, but somewhere the company missed something. o keeping that in mind, BlackBerry came up with BalckBerry Leap, a mid-range smartphone that comes for Rs. 21500 just made for young professionals who are the beginners.

This beautifully crafted 5 inch based all-touch smartphone comes as a surprise for people eager to put their hands on BlackBerry's affordable business phone. The handset looked similar to previous BlackBerry's handset likes Z3 and Z10. It runs on an updated BB 10.3.1 OS and includes a decent 8MP Rear Camera.

When everything seems fine, the inclusion of same old processor(1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Dual Core Processor) spoils the fun. If you are unaware, BlackBerry Z10 too came with same processor. This restricts the power of Leap and somehow manages to disappoint. Moreover, the sound performance too is poor and touch at times felt unresponsive.

Personally, I don't find any reason to shift to BB Leap. In fact, people holding Z10 too might think twice to swap their oldie to Leap, as there isn't much difference and the hardware part is similar in both the devices.

Still, if you are a BlackBerry Loyalist then experimenting with Leap isn't a bad idea; if you have enough money to spend on something new that comes with old fillings.
