The purpose and definition of having and using mobile phones have been changed drastically in last 10 years. Initially mobiles were mend only for talking and now these have been categorized in many more ways- Lifestyle Phone, Business Phone, common man phone etc. Now mobile devices are status symbols so mobile manufacturing companies are also doing lots of juggling in defining and designing these devices to remain in the competition.
Every phone category has its own market and target customers but as I have observed BlackBerry is the only brand that designed phones specially and specifically for Professionals considering the offered features, ease of use of features, size etc.
I bought BlackBerry 9300 sometime back and realized over a period of time that having this phone is one of few good things in professional life. Here you go for my basic observations:
Amazing processor speed, can handle multiple operations simultaneously not like other phones those get hanged without any reason frequently.
Beautifully designed keypad with highly optimized keys in size removes the problem of pressing multiple keys accidentally.
Feather touch navigator that works very swiftly and make the navigation very easy.
Logically defined Search algorithm that allows you to search any item in best possible way and make any item accessible on a single click.
Options to manage e-mails, messages, contacts are very user friendly. This automatically caters your need as per the defined rules those are very extensive in offerings.
You can perform any activity on a contact from the page itself where that contact details are appearing. For example, if there is any mobile number written in a message, you out the cursor on that no and will option to write SMS or call on that number.
In built offering of Facebook, Twitter, AOL, Yahoo, Gmail gives you power to stay connected with your contacts every time.
Supports latest version of MS WORD, Excel, and PDF and gives you leverage to read or update(except PDF) these documents.
Apart from Audio/Video support and 2 MP camera, task manager and maps support is amazing.
Beautifully crafted design with rubber mat type rear body gives you a great hold and removes risks of slipping device while holding it.
Overall a phone that is ‘Value For Money’ and designed for professionals.
One Quick Suggestion- This phone gets imported so buy this phone when the dollar rates are low while converting into INR.
