Surprising no reviews on this once upon a time the in place of Bangalore! A few years back this was the place to go and be seen in! If you were a model an aspiring model or a model of yester years you would be seen in Black Cadillac on Fridays, Saturdays or any other event night.
But time takes its toll and the place lost out to the newer and trendier pubs. The owners woke up and decided to refurbish the place! Finally! But as the work was coming to an end bad luck fell upon them and the re-opening got postponed due to a forced accident I should say! Anyway they opened with great fanfare. The die hards still swear by the place but unfortunately there is a small problem. one of the typical live girl dancing and singing places has decided to belt out Hindi numbers just above it and they always happen to leave the window or door open!
The place is nice otherwise. The entrance opens up into a nice covered courtyard with wrought iron furniture which again opens up into an open area again with benches and more of garden furniture. Unfortunately the view to the sky has been marred by this huge Commercial next door. The interiors have been done up but again they are functional in nature without too much being spent flashiness. Ther only extravagance could be the front of a car put up on the wall but it is needed to added a little spice to an otherwise bare interior. The food is okay and service okay. Again this is a place which has its die-hard fans who would not be seen anywhere else and hence they naturally always get the best service but probably the same in every pub?
The DJ console has been packed into a small corner but the guy does a good job of playing a mix of good music. Not much place though to shake a leg!!! Here space is a constraint and there is not much they can do in terms of trying to expand unless they can kick the live band place out from upstairs and move up?
Price-wise reasonable but the ambience somehow is not there from the old days - but those days we were all starved for choice!!!
