Yep my fellow movie buffs.....think twice before spending your hard earned greens on this one....Its a no-show from Bollywood's greatest showman (I dont know if that still applies)I mean Subhash Ghai could have done so much to make things better for B&W audience...for starters, not make this movie at all!!!!!

But now that he has made it...I am more than obligated to warn you all regarding any depression/anger/aggression you might feel towards Ghai for the wastage of your invaluable time.

Cliched is the best word to describethis movie...I mean all of us could do with a once in a while ideological slap on the wrist...but we dont want it to be spalattered on our faces and rubbed all over our bodies...B&W's expression of the same is boring to say the least...the plot is a baraat of unwanted characters which serve no purpose......pls Mr Ghai..we have seen enough religious extremists.....corrupt MPs....love-struck teenage girls...patriotic professors and nagging wives behave this way in our movies to last us a lifetime

The writer seems confused and even towards the end you will not be able to figure out the direction in which he wants to take the movie in...at one hand Ghai is talking about extremism, terrorism and bombing plots...and on the other hand he also wants to talk about a professor and his muslim mentor's lives.....something which is only worsened by the movie's irritating performances (so much so that when shefali chhaya's character dies, you empathise with anil's character who does not rush her to a hospital....both you and him heave a sigh of relief)

Song after song Sukhwinder Singh's voice makes you just want to run out of the auditorium......I mean its amazing how his voice has transformed from award-winning unique to a 1952 Ambi shrilly and screechy

However, a couple of performances deserve a special mention....Anurag, who plays the protagonist Numer definitely has a screen presence.....serious and intense...hopefully he will get a better role next time to showcase his talent in.....another one is the actor playing the role of the old and wise urdu poet Habib.....Although his character was not required at all in the movie...his performance makes you wish that it could have at least served some purpose

All in all...i will use Rajeev Masand's words to wrap up..."This movie makes you feel that even Kisna and Yaadein were watchable!!!"

Pls Mr Ghai...stick to production...and give us gems like Iqbal.....its time to take a bow n leave the director's competition to the more talented lot
