Drying. Review on Biotique Green Apple Shampoo

I tried this shampoo at two different instances with a couple of years' interval, and I've not been happy with it in either attempt.

I have short, straight, black hair, recent dyed burgundy. My hair tends to be oily in summer, and seems dry in winter, prone to flaking in cold weather.

I found that routine use of homemade herbal powder washes are nice, but inconvenient on busy days.(look for recipes in haircare tips section, coming soon)

So for convenience, I try our various shampoos, and most are nothing to write home about. I tried Bio Apple and found it to be disappointing as well, considering I find many biotique products quite good.

The website says this is a frequent use cleanser for oily hair that does not affect the natural Ph balance of the scalp. I am not sure about the latter, but for me, this would certainly not work as a daily use cleanser. I never shampoo without literally drenching my hair in oil.(I use either plain coconut oil, or herbal oils that I make - will post recipes in the hair care tips section).

So, with all that oil, I assume I would qualify to use a shampoo for oily hair - I only use just enough, but I always end up with dried out hair afterwards, and with frequent use, I actually start flaking:/

So, to say the least, I am not happy with this product. It MAY be ok for certain scalp types, but I wouldn't bet on it being suitable for daily use.

I am currently using Biotique's Soya Protein shampoo, and am loving it. I also like their funnily named watercress hair salad(a conditioner). Look for separate reviews on these products.

So Bio Apple, big let down.
