Sales process in BIMAL


Day 1:I requested a quote for Black Swift Vxi, since it showroom closing time there was only one sales person who was hurrying to home gave me a quote and rushed out of the showroom, so no test drive, no demonstrations, nothing.. cool agreeable as it was closing time.


Day 2:They agreed to deliver the car in 15 days


Day 7:The sales guy called me and he gave a shock of my life, he said my car is ready and it's the stock yard, requested me to come and have a look, I was glad and rushed to thier stock yard and found the car, and to my gory there was a huge dent in the front fender and some paint peelings here and there.


When I looked at the sales guy and before even I asked him anything he said we will fix them before delivery sir, as it was damaged a bit (!?!?!?) while transporting from the factory. No way, am not taking this car, I seriously warned that guy not to deliver that car to me, and immediately opened the bounet and penned down the engine and chassis numbers to avoid the car being delivered to me later after refurbishing.


Day 14:I called the sales person to check my status, he said the cars are in transit and I will get mine in max. of a week's time, he requested me to think again to take delivery of that car which I saw in the stock yard, huh.. is that crap still there in the yard???? so Bimal was playing games to make me a scapegoat. I requested not to ask this question again.. he apologized and said will not take this matter again.


Day 17:The sales person called me up and said I can come see my car in the showroom premises and the same shall be delivered next day around 6pm, I inspected it and was satisfied, I pulled the notes I took about that damaged car and verified was it the same car?? well.. it was a NO.. tht's good...I gave them the gree signal to start the process..


Day 18:I took my wife and kid along with me around 5.30pm to the Bimal showroom and was waiting waiting waiting .. and couldn't see the sales guy there, and to my grief he is not picking up the calls either, I asked those receptionist and they said he is out with some cutsomer for some delivery (!!!?!?) we waited a until 7pm and this guy came and apologized saying that he had to deliver a car to someone who in turn took him too some temple for a pooja (reasonable enough even for not picking up calls???


Well well) and he took me to our car and started explaining things....later I felt something was missing??? oh gosh the license plates.... where are they?? he said those will be ready in a jiffy sir, will fix it in a minute... crap!!! we waited until 8pm and the LO....the heaven's opened and it started raining cats and dogs.. what a night.. am I being blessed by the gods or the god is planning to test my driving skills on the Bangalore roads in the downpour with zero visibility in my new car with my family along with me... oh god save me until I reach my home... a guy came running drenched with my license plates and starts fitting it by then it was close to 8.15pm almost everyone left the showroom.. I thanked the sales person and left praying all gods.. LUCKILY we reached home in the heavy traffic without someone kissing my car with his.. huh.. GOOD (OR BAD????): The sales person called and asked me whether I have reached home safely...let me give some points to this guy here..(oh now I remember I gave him some tips before I took the delivery.. mmm courtesy call.. good enough)


SERVICE process in BIMAL


Service 1: My vehicle was due for first free service, There was call from Bimal reminding me of the service, now how cool is that?? and I need to book 24 hrs in advance, fine, I booked for the next day.. I said I will need a pick up and drop as I cannot afford to drop and pick it up, well that option comes handy if you pay 100 bucks for 3 kms radius and 200 for above 3kms.. cool, mine was some 4-5 but still they agreed for 100 bucks.. (dont know the reason until today).. a serrvice guy came to my place and took the car for service, I called those guys in the evening around 4pm they said it will be ready in a hrs time, 5pm. 6pm..7pm.. frustrated I called them to hear that Sir, it's heavily raining shall I bring the car tomorrow? areee..


Why don't u people call and let me know this? where will the car be parked the whole night? cool they delivered the car the next day morning around 11am, I was at office and didn't have a chance to look around and check if everything was fine, checked it in the evening and found the center floor mat for the rear seat was torn 99%..it was hanging to be torn the next second.. I was furious and wanted to drive immediately to Bimal.. but calmed down and took it the next day..


I told the receptionist about the issue and she asked me to wait for sometime while she calls the concerened person, after 30 long minutes I lost my patience and asked what's happening, she said he is busy and will be here in 5 minutes, am I a fool sitting here without any work and waiting for a serrvice guy just to hear he is busy for the past 30 minutes???? when I raised my voice she called the superrvisor who came to me asked what happened (didn't the receptionist tell him the story), I had to start again.. he came and examined the mat, took it out called someone from the service station, whispered something in his ears and gave the mat to him, with in minutes he came with another unscathed mat and was replaced immediately... what the heck?? which car's mat was that?? now this torn up mat is going in rounds..., he apologized for the incident and left promptly... great, what ever, my work is done..


Service 2: Second service due, I was not in town, I asked my wife to call the service center and schedule for the service, the next day a guy came down and took the car for serrvice for the same 100 bucks pick up and drop, so far so good.. here comes the problem.....he comes back in the evening with the car, hands over the keys and other documents to my wife and demands 600 bucks, when questioned for what? he replies they have done a wheel alighnment but failed to print it in the bill (?!?!?!?!?) now how cool is that, my wife called me and asked what to do? I requested her NOT TO GIVE A PENNY other than what is in the bill, after long conversation this guys leaves frustrated.. when I was back after a month or so I dropped an email to the service supervisor explaining what has happened, he requested me to come down to the service station when ever I can and call him to explain things,


I met him the same day, he pulled out all the documents he had with respect to my vehicle's registration number and said that it was true that a wheel alighnment was done and the bill didn't reflect it, but the guy was not supposed to ask anything which is not reflected in the bill, and also added what I did was right not to have given the money to that guy, as those guys will not return that money to the dealer rather put them in thier pockets, seems this has happened to several other customers and many have complained hence that guy was thrown out of the job, cool...problem solved..Benefit: Had a free wheel alighnment


Well, going thru all these things I made up my mind not to go to Bimal's service center anymore and buy a problem, ..I found myself a Maruti approved service station near my place who pick and drop for free.. I did my 3rd serrvice there with no complaints.... Hope this post is useful to some..
