I got an Idea Cellular recharge done to my number on 31st December, 2008, for Rs. 100. The amount was immediately deducted from my bank account, but the recharge never took place.

I immediately contacted bill desk (which is the intermediate between Idea Cellular and my bank). They said they haven't got a confirmation from my bank and it would take 24 hours. (Lost Rs. 10 on this call)

I called up again after 24 hours and they said I should drop a mail to support@billdesk.com, which I immediately did. The lady on the phone also confirmed that they have received my payment and the transaction is complete from their end. (Lost Rs. 9 on this call)

Again I waited 24 hours and called up. The lady responded rudely by saying that she told me to mail at pgsupport@billdesk.com. Since it's my money which was stuck I adhered to that and wrote a mail to that. But I also inquired from her the status of my recharge to which she said-'we've forwarded your request to Idea Cellular and you should talk to them'. (Lost Rs. 7 on this call).

Now i've written a mail to Idea Celluar Mumbai and marked a CC to pgsupport@billdesk.com. Not sure what it'll lead to, but if nothing works out, I know one thing, BillDesk "stole" my Rs. 100 and I additionally lost Rs.26 on calling them, which is an additional loss.

I hope there is someone above them to take control and I agree with people who have written about this service before me, that, both the banks and mobile companies should NOT allow such FRAUD companies to "steal" people's hard earned money.

Thanks,

Akshat
