Bilaspur, the second biggest and growing city of Chattisgarh. As I studied in NIT, Raipur and Bilaspur is nearby to Raipur around 3 hours journey and many of my college friends were from Bilaspur so I went to the city many times as my friends kept insisting.
I'm also Rajasthani and I know what summer is but the Bilaspur is even worst in that context, It is hotter than Rajasthan. As I visited the city almost in every season. So I would say that there are only 2 seasons in Bilaspur and nearby cities those are Summer and Rainy and most of the time in year the Bilaspur is hot as anything.
There is no tourist place to visit so if you are going for a trip just forget it.It will only disappoint you.
Accessibility wise Bilaspur is quite accessible and connected to Raipur, Katni, jabalpur and almost all big cities via train but there is no airport in the city.
Finding an accomodation is an easy task there as there are good number of hotels in the city.so one can easily find a good hotel or lodge.
Safety wise I am 50-50 on Bilaspur. It is not as safe as Raipur. People are tough in nature and will always be rude to you.
So at last I would just say If you think that Bilaspur is tourist place and you are planning a trip just change your mind because I will disappoint you nothing else you gonna find of interest.
