Bigflix is good. Review on Bigflix

There are lot of movie rental services and then there is Biglix. Bigflix belongs to ADAG group(owned by Chota Bhai Ambani) and so the prices are the most competitve you can find in the market. I have been their customer for almost a year now. Based on my experience in the last one year heres the positives and negatives of Bigflix

Pros

1. They are very regular. Never in the last one year did I find them missing a pickup request.

   
   




2. Movie collection is decent. I have always found the disc I wanted on thier list.

   
   




3. Pickup guys are very decent. Initially they went out of their way to accomodate my request for delivering at different location than the one given by me on their website.

   
   




4. Call center guys are good. The note down your complain and tell you that the complaint would be looked into. Complaint is looked into but its a different story that often no action is taken.

   
   




5. Decent collection of movies in local language

   
   




6. A good website and easy to transact over the website.

   
   

Cons

1. Sometimes the DVDs dont play. Most of the DVDs have different region code. So make sure your DVD is region free. Most of the Hindi DVDs would get stuck mid way. I have faced this problem twice. However the English DVD hardly get stuck. I think its something to distributor than with Bigflix. So if you are a avid Hindi Movie fan, then beware.

   
   




2. Once your DVD gets stuck, you will complain at the call center. Complaint is duly taken but no action is taken. I dont know who has the authority to take a decision. Whether its someone at the center or at local bigflix store.

   
   




3. If you give a cash pick up request for recharging your account, nothing happens. This is a recent phenomenon. This is because the moment your time period is over, your account becomes inactive. And the funny thing is they dont register pickup request for inactive accounts. So no one will come to pick up the last DVD unless you call the call center.

   
   




4. You might have to wait for quite sometime to see a popular movie.

   
   

Overall I am not very dissatisfied with Bigflix. Service on the ground is very good but service by call center employees need to improve. Complaints needs to be addressed quickly and effectively.
