NEVER NEVER FALL PREY TO BIG TV

I write this with utter dismay, disgust and disappointment in having chosen BIG TV. I have no complaint about the picture quality. But one cannot go without saying the fact that their set-top box is a piece of junk, which is as slow as a snail. I am ready to forgive them for that. They have a website in which one cannot understand anything about their packages clearly.what I mean is that a cleverly put veil covers the packages, the channel lists are very difficult to find out(frankly speaking I haven't found out one!). I'm willing to forgive this also. But I won't forgive cheating from the part of this Top Company(even robbers have more dignity than this company when it comes to looting the customers). My experience is like this:


I had purchased an add-on pack of Neo sports and Neo Cricket which has a minimum lock in period of 6 months. The Customer care executive didn't tell me anything about this lock-in period at the time of activating it. Later when I called them to get the service disconnected, they said that u have to carry on with this package for a minimum period of 6 months. Ok, I agreed. My lock-in period ended on 20th of July and I called them on 21st to disconnect the same. They assured me that the package will be disconnected. But friends, this has not been done till date.and when enquired the stupid executive told me that I will have to continue with this package for another 6 months because I HADN'T CALLED THEM EXACTLY ON THE DAY OF THE END OF LOCK-IN PERIOD, that is 20th and it has been automatically renewed for another 6 months! More than paying Rs.45 extra for another 6 months, what made me angry was the feeling that these hoodlums are plainly cheating us, their exteemed customers!


So, with my bitter experience with this service, my advice is that NEVER NEVER EVEN LOOK AT THEIR SHOWROOM. MUCH BETTER DTH SERV ICE PROVIDERS ARE THERE IN INDIA NOW.


Once more, to make things clear once more, I will summarise the problems as follows:




  1. POOR QUALITY OF SET-TOP BOX- a toy-peice of junk imported from China




2.LACK OF TRANSPARENCY IN THE WEBSITE so that one can't select a suitable package of thier own choice. Now the customer care executives decide for you!




  1. CHEATING: They have no shame in looting form your account even after u repeatedly ask for the disconnection of add-on packages. THIS IS THE WORST PART.




4.AN ORDINARY CUSTOMER WILL BE CHEATED LIKE ANYTHNG-I'm reasonably educated and access to internet and other sources of information. If I have been cheated, then what would be the case of an ordinary Indian citizen!


NEVER NEVER BITE THIS BAIT, IT SUCKS, BIG TV SUCKS, BIG TV SUCKS, BIG TV SUCKS!


now an addition:   Like any other service from reliance, big tv is another cheating programme. I am not getting surya tv, amritha, dd malayalam, manorama news, we tv, indiavision and jaihind even though I have paid the money for malayalm basic pack(that's what pre-paid). But when I complained they say that I need to recharge for Rs.175 to get their technician to come home and repair their equiptment. I asked for a refund for the channels they are not providing, but they say there is no provision for this. So i'm qutting Big tv, after having been cheated big time.Good bye BIG Time cheating TV
