THE PROBLEM.I have got the BIG TV connection for sometime now, and frankly speaking as with most Reliance, I say they charge you and all you could do is just keep guessing where all your money went to!recently back in November 2009 I had recharged the conx with a one year pack, and about a month back had added a couple channels(at an extra cost of 25), 5months down(since Nov09), and it says my balance is negative!
THE SERVICE.as with most BIG products, the reach to customer care is very limited(Reliance Demat actually has none, thats another fiasco!). they have a couple of numbers. most times it never connects, and the few times that it connects, it failed to identify my smart card saying its invalid! they have two channels after calling "Existing members" and "new members", as an existing member u cannot talk to a representative if ur smart card is "invalid" and as a new member. u guessed it right, every service works like a charm. after quite a lot of failed attempts, I got to the new service and got hold of the representative, and my smart card details are working perfectly fine there!
THE REPRESENTATIVE.the people sitting there are really a bunch of jokes, have no communication skills, talk like jerks and think they are actually doing me a favor for the services that I have paid! there was this person Anu, who replied, and she went on talking really stupid(guess thats being very polite) and arrogance preceded in every sentence of hers. I had recharged at a local dealer, and she expects me to call the customer care and update them with this information(how ridiculous), if you do not have a system to handle things, dont give crappy service. She thinks she is actually doing a favor talking to me. rather than trying to help, guess she does not know y she is there.
THE SUGGESTION.in general avoid getting any products from Reliance, although they claim to provide a lot of benefits and at a cheaper rate, beware. you will know why its cheap shortly! and you'd realize how much time you would have to slog trying to get something right. and in addition the hidden charges as usual!
