Today morning my mom sent me to Big Bazaar to purchase some food items and groceries. This was the first time I was doing such kind of shopping alone. I had no idea from where to start, so I followed the list order which my mom has written. From soaps, shampoos and deodorants I moved on to take some food items. I came near the pasta and oats counter. Surprisingly, whatever packet I picked up was expired. The date of expiry was almost two months back.
So, next I moved to take some rice, flour and sugar. ‘isse sasta aur acha kahin nahi’, the tagline of big bazaar. What I found was price Rs.125 and discounted price Rs.124.20. wow! A discount of 80 paise, so much useful I thought to myself. By their own stupidity, they proved their tagline wrong. Most of the items which I was searching were not available, and I had to choose from the very few available items. With great difficulty I completed the list which my mom prepared.
I went to the clothing counter and searched for few tops. Again, I had limited options. I chose one top and came down for paying. Unfortunately, my chosen top had no price tag. So the billing fellow asked me to wait for a minute and send a colleague to find out the price. I thought he would return in two minutes, he just has to take the same model top and get the bar code. But he never returned and I waited there for almost half an hour. When I got really angry and started shouting on them, he sent another employee and then both of them came back crawling like a snail.
Obviously, what do they have to do if I get late and my time is being wasted? Not only this but when you ask something to them, they don't even bother to reply. Why? Aren't they getting proper salaries? Why to show so much attitude on the customers?
Overall it was a very bad experience and I am never ever going to Big Bazaar again. I could go Auchan, which is newly opened, maybe they treat customers properly. Oh and by the way I am talking about Abids', MPM mall Big Bazaar.
