There are close to 100 engg colleges in Raipur+ Durg-bhilai source-

But undoubtedly, this one scores top because of its legacy, alumni, top faculty and students. but can it rise above the chhattisgariya tag? It has been seeing good placements off late but quality of research of it's professors is not at par with other engg colleges from other states
I think it is very closely related to fortunes of the state itself. If the state grows fast, maybe the college would grow fast too.
We need to wait and watch to see how it grows further. I think the college management can be active than be reactive and invest in faculty and its research.
That would help it in long term.
