The only thing original about "Bheja Fry" is the title - the film is a complete copy of an original French film'Diner le cons'.
I have nothing against remakes if they are done legally and not simply plagarised, and I don't mind a film that is'inspired by.' as often remakes and inspirations bring something original along, but there is absolutely nothing original about'Bheja Fry'. In a nutshell, the producer, director and writer are simply crooks in this case. 'Bheja Fry' has been a hit but will the makers of the original French see any royalties? Clearly not! We Indians claim to be so spiritual or so religious, but many of us think nothing of stealing someone else's intellectual property.
There are so many on this site who have criticised another reviewer for pointing out the same fact as I have and yet fail to see how they are only encouraging this kind of exploitation by trying to ignore the truth.
No wonder other film industries around the world think we are a joke creatively. They are right as only those bereft of original ideas start stealing from others.
