Not from the imaginations!. Review on Bhavana

SHE IS THE FUTURE OF THE INDUSTRY?

I had been waiting to write on my favourite actress in Malayalam for such a long time. Now, as the topic is there, I can't stop myself from writing. The word ''Bhavana'' means imagination.

After making her debut in the movie Nammal, Bhavana has been prominent in the long list of actresses in Malayalam along with Meera Jasmine, Kavya Madhavan etc - a long list in which I believe that Bhavana is the most beautiful one.

The number of contenders for the spot that Manju Warrier left when she stopped acting are very large. But, Bhavana really is been a good choice for that spot. She has got great skills both in classical and cinematic dancing.

Her dialogue delivery had been great in a special way entirely different from the other actresses. She always got a pleasing look on her beautiful face and that makes the number of fans of her keeping on increasing. She is the daughter of an assistant cameraman.

Bhavana whose real name was Karthika, was an eleventh standard student when she got her first opportunity in movies. But she did look much matured than that. The young actress is now getting a number of offers. We can only hope that she chooses the right movies to act in.

Her last movie Youth Festival was a ridiculous one with Siddarth (who is getting worse ever day after his great performance in Nammal) and managed to one of the quickest movies ever to flop and I hope she doesn't do these types of roles more. Another movies of her along with Kunchako Boban is to be released soon and I hope that it will be a good one.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

There are a few movies to highlight in her small, but effective career.....

1) NAMMAL

Bhavana got her first hit in her very first movie. Though Renuka, another debutant was the real heroine, it is the other new girl Bhavana who stole the show and got into the hearts of all the movie fans. It would have been very hard for Bhavana to get herself coloured black so that she could be Parimalam, a character from the slums as she was even more white than the leading actress.

Most of the newcomers may not have been ready for a role like this which is not glamourus, but not Bhavana. Every one who doesn't know her may be wondering, which fairness cream she used to turn white! Her talent became known to all and I believe that her best is yet to come.

2) SWAPNAKOODU

In this movie, she plays the role of one of two sisters who are working hard for their lives with their parents dead. Bhavan has come up with a brilliant performance yet again even if Meera Jasmine got a bit more important role here. She got everything right through out the movie and she did her comparitively smaller role into success.

She did this role in a style that makes us think that she is really leading her real life in the movie and not at all acting. Each dialogue and facial expression were highly impressive! She looked really good in that song ''Kazhupinazhaku'' along with Meera.

3) IVAR

This movie was more like a documentary rather than a movie starring Jayaram and Biju Menon in which we can see the working of underworld gangs who are just keeping on breaking the laws in all possible ways they can. In these type of movies, the role of actresses are not going to be much important in the steady progress of the movie.

But even then Bhavana came up with an amazing performance. I can't imagine any one other than her in this role because the way in which she has mastered herself is quite impressive. I thought that this movie is going to be interesting because she is in the movie, but this one was only an average one.

Her another impressive movies were ''Chronic Bachelor'' in which she plays a girl caught between a war between the families and ''C.I.D Moosa'' which was actually a comedy movie with a bit of action. I think that her worst movie was ''Valathottu Thirinjaal Naalaamathe Veedu'' with Jishnu. I hope that these type of movies never gets into my head again.....keep going, Bhavana.....hoping to see you at higher and higher levels.....
