Never Ever Buy Insurance Products from Bharti AXA. I have purchased a Critical Illness Benefit Plan from Bharti AXA. During the 3rd year, I was admitted in country one of the best Hospital SIR GANGA RAM HOSPITAL for Brain Stroke. As per policy, the said illness was defined as one of the critical illnesses in a list of 20 critical illness. Due to God's grace, I survived from this illness and filed the claim. As per policy, treating doctor's certificate along with medical reports and discharge summary was required to file the claim. I submitted the documents and waited patiently to hear from TPA. To my horror, I came to know that TPA does not know about this policy details and upon regular follow ups from both the TPA and Bharti AXA they repudiated the claim. Because the legal framework of our country is such that it takes ages to get the rightful dues, one is bound to suffer. Bharti AXA has taken this advantage and asked me to go to Insurance Ombudsman. I approached the Ombudsman but to my surprise even the ombudsman office was dysfunctional due to absence of its President / Judge / Ombudsman. They advised me to approach Consumer Court for speedy justice. Its been a year and a half since I have filed the case in consumer court. Bharti AXA lawyers after initial few appearances never come to court. They only send their office peon with a letter to extend the date. The lawyer during the initial reconciliation hearing said that the documents are appropriate and will only take 15 days to settle the claim. But Unfortunately their bosses in BHARTI AXA does not want to pay the claim amount. THEY ARE ONLY INTERESTED IN SELLING THEIR POLICY PRODUCTS. WHEN IT COMES TO SETTLING CLAIMS, THEY LACK HEART. THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT HAS BEEN SAID BY JUSTICE D K JAIN President of the Consumer courts in India.
