I had recently registered on BharatMatrimony (TamilMatrimony) after receiving numerous amounts of calls from their customer representatives about registering as a Paid Member. The search criteria is good, as you can use a good amount of filters. But otherwise, the customer service is really bad in the sense that they dont give you the right information at all.
There are different people that would talk to you everytime you call them and each one would promise you some things that they would never keep up. Lately, we also found that the "Not Interested" messages that come in are not originating from the person that we had contacted. We decided to talk to the parent or whosoever created the profile directly and they denied sending any "Not Interested" messages to us.
This makes us think that BharatMatrimony guys are probably playing around. The only reason for doing such an unethical thing would be to make sure they get you to renew after your initial registration expires, that way they could keep the money coming in. Also, after becoming a paid member, you still cannot see the photos or horoscopes of people, which according to TM is something that the profile creator has done.
But, the moment we get off of the phone, the photo and horoscope shows up for that profile, which makes us think, it is not the profile creator who has blocked it, but its actually TM. These are really unethical practices considering that this has happened to us a number of times now. We get the phone number and directly get in touch with the respective parties instead of relying on the messaging service.
If you have your profile setup, make sure you call the person and not rely on the messaging service. Also, keep track of your profile settings at regular intervals to make sure that you dont have any information blocked (this could have been intentionally or unintentionally done by you or even done by TM).
