We have Bharat Gas connection (Consumer No 40620) for more than last twenty years. Though it has improved a lot in its infrastructure and timeliness in service, it has to go far to reach customer's satisfaction.
Firstly they need to renovate their customer care service. If you lodge a complain, you'll get no response. Even if you get response from them after two or three months, they will not take any fruitful initiative to solve the issue. They did not respond to two of my complaints. First complaint (Complaint no 504788) was lodged on 03.03.15 against the dealer's delay in delivery of refill cylinder. Second one(Complaint no 990947) was lodged on 05.11.15 regarding DBTL issue. But no action from them has been taken yet. I think they should close their customer care service if they cannot provide it properly.
Secondly, regarding another complaint, they called in the registered mobile no, my mother received the call. I was not at home. My mother does not know Hindi and she told it to the officer. But he did not pay heed to her and later disconnected the call and never called again. As it is a govt. undertaken nationalized company, it should start customer service in regional languages also. There are millions of middle class people who don't know Hindi.
Lastly, company should keep continuous vigil on the distributors to prevent corruption and listen to its customers' complaint more carefully because only from them they can know the truth.
