The movie is directed by Rakeysh Om Prakash Mehra, this is an epic story about the life of Milkha Singh. his struggle his survival, his fears and his achievements. Farah akthar raves the veteran icon, illustrious life, elegantly dressed, well ironed trousers, shinning black shoes, a tie that matches his turban and the inseparable blazer. People do know that Milkha Singh is a Gold Medal athlete but nobody was aware of his struggle to be The Milkha Singh. There are many sub-plots in Multan(now in Pakistan) shown in tinted colours, then his refugee life with his elder sister, his ways to be a ‘gulli ka gunda’, his first innocent love, his army training and coaching, and his struggle to be flying Sikh. All sub-plots are woven beautifully through creative editing. Talking about the movie, I would say it was very lengthy and could have had pieces of edition here and there. I liked the performances of Faran and Divya Dutta. I was personally touched and moved to tears to see how Milkha in the movie slaps himself because he thinks he had goofed up just a day before a critical race to eventually lose it. I loved his hunger for success, passion, sincerity to do whatever it takes to achieve the set goals, emotional connect to whatever he did - running and last but never the least to prove that he can bloody win.in this movie milkha singh's role is played by farhan. and he played his best for this role. he suits for this role. I would recommend this movie for inspiration and to know the story of a legend. sound tracks are also very good of this movie.
