I edit all my pictures in Paint Shop Pro which allows me to change the lighting of a picture, the texture, contrast and so on. I have used other programs but this one to me is the best.
It is also a great program for working with and creating graphics and animations.
It is not a program you can just install and work right away. It does take some study and learning as to how every thing operates but great instructions come with it.
The program is costly at over three hundred US dollars but if you work with graphics a lot it is well worth the cost. I do a lot of web pages and like doing my own graphics.
Graphics are great for lots of things such as making gifts of t-shirts with a design on you have created down to your own personal greeting cards that you print out and send through the postal service. I like to do this for Christmas especially and make a special card for each person on my list and write my own verses for these.
There are groups that you can join for lessons on using PSP that are run by e-mail. They used to be e-groups which has now changed to yahoo clubs.There are many add ons' you can get for this program free.
I have also used this in making my own stationery for use in e-mail and for printing out stationery for regular postal letters for those people that still don't have computers.
For editing phots it is simple enough to just click on all the tools available in this program and they are self explanatory.
I believe there are free trials to this program which you can find on ZD net. Also if you know some one that also has this and icq you can transfer the entire program to them.
I have been using this for several years now and each year it is updated. It is really a fun program and you have to try it out to see all that it can do.
