The best 3d animation software are autodesk max 3ds, autodesk maya, blender, cinema 4d.
there are some tips on these software how they works.
1:the autodesk max 3ds is generally used for modeling .
2:the autodesk maya is mainly used for animation but you can also do modeling.
3:blender and cinema 4d is also used for 3d animation and modeling, but mainly they are used for animation.
4:in max there are my default object so max is very easy software to do modeling while maya gives smoothness in doing animation.
