Kempegowda International Airport formerly known as Bengaluru International Airport is one of the busiest airport in India. With numerous flights and passengers traveling everyday, the airport is quite a happening place 24* 7.
The airport terminal is very good looking and modern. It is run by a private agency. It is pretty clean with the staff working throughout the day. The airport is situated around 15-20kms away from the main city. The ground staff is well behaved and helpful. There is a lot of parking space. BMTC Airport buses and the taxis are the common modes to commute.
There are many eating joints to choose from. Most of them are overpriced, but this is the case for all the airports. There is canteen situated near the parking area providing fairly priced and good edibles. The washrooms are also clean and tidy.
There are around 20 terminals for boarding the flights. And the baggage claiming area is awesome and is of high standards.
The only lack is that the Airport buses charge a bit high and night frequency is very less. The taxi rate is also quite high and also we have to pay for toll while entering the city except if we're on two wheelers. The parking charges are also little high.
Overall the place is nice and I would definitely recommend it.
