I have visited Bekal only once. But that one visit really surprised me. A sprawling fort. The fort is spread over acres of land and is built entirely of cut stone. This historic structure was built in the 17th century. Since it is a fort next to the sea, it is fun to walk around the fort with the sound of the waves and the warm breeze.This fort is so beautiful, it is made of cut stone and is strongly built. It is completely made of cut stone. It is very cool inside the fort. It is an ancient dynastic fort. The fort was occupied by the Kolathiri kings, Mysore kings and even the British. It is a place for all age groups to come and enjoy. A must see for history students.
