A serial started in the 80’s , Baywatch has just 2 ways about it - The Likes and the Dislikes with no scope for any middle ground . If you like buffed and polished hunks and babes , playing Lifeguards on a beach , with a peripheral plot involving saving people from drowning , then this is The serial to watch .
On the other hand , if you are aspiring to grow a halo above your head , then you are better off watching Krishi Darshan on DD .
The cast mainly consists of David Hasselhoff ( playing Mitch ) and his son , ( Hobie). The plots involve smugglers , con artists , hidden loot , homicidal men and what-not but essentially help to focus on the T & A of the female cast . If you aren’t comfortabe with that , take a hike to the Tibetan monastries.
There’s suspense , adventure ( surfing , para-sailing , cycling ) , romance ( females trying to entice David H ) , song and dance , in equal dollops , all making for great entertainment and leading to the serial’s awesome endurance limit .
The serial , in passing , has also roped in some of the biggest names in American titillation , prominent among them Pamela Lee Andersen and Yasmeen Bleeth, who have redefined the elastic limit of Lycra ; but hey , before you knock it , Baywatch does provide some great tips on mouth-to-mouth resuscitation , hauling an unconscious drowning person through water , risks of artificial flotation devices like tyre tubes and one-liners to get rid of jerks who make a pass .
With it’s swimaway success , the producers also launched Baywatch Nights , a serial focussing on Non aquatic episodes but it sank like that big ship . Meanwhile , the most apt take on Baywatch is from my 4 year old son , who pipes up “ Papa is watching nangu aunties “ each time I try to alleviate my eye- stress !!!
