I am sure that by the title itself, one would be able to guess the USP of this place - yes - its the sumptuous, delicious, magnificent, mouth-watering Chicken kalmi kebabs. Though, not an impressive approach to the place, Bawarchi in Gurgaon was a pleasant surprise to me.
I went to this place after being highly recommended by some of my colleagues. Knowing their taste in food and they knowing mine, I thought its worth a shot - and to my good fortune, they were right ! Well, the food was good, especially the garlic naan (i know you must be wondering what could be so special in a garlic naan, but believe me, not everyone can prepare it well).
Even the Methi Machhi was good and soft, much to the general liking of all who were with me. I believe their vegetarian stuff is also good, not that I was inclined to taste it but by the looks of my vegetarian friends, they seemed to like it. Another good thing about the place is that it has separators for some of the tables - so if you are a big gang and want the place to yourselves, secluded from others staring at you while you are making noise, this could be the place for you.
Pricing : I wouldn't say this this place is a steal but it can be categorised as value for money. They provide special vouchers for big gangs to come again and avail of discounts through their discount vouchers - but they have a certain cap on the bill amount so you might want to check on that before you start ordering. The don't have an alcohol license but you don't really miss it as it compensates for the good food. The desserts are nothing much to write about as they are the typical desserts served almost everywhere with pretty much the same quality. All in all, a good place for non-vegetarians and especially tandoori fans like me !
