I am someone who is apprehensive of lasik surgery, but at the same time has a strong dislike for eyeglasses because of their weight and look. So I started using soft contact lens since I was 13.
I have used Bausch & Lomb right from the start and even with my high eye number, they provide good clarity. Besides, they are lightweight, (you will forget you are even wearing them) affordable and fit well. They are saviors for people like me who want to wear normal sunglasses even though they are nearsighted.
On the flip side, yes the lens do dry out though not as much as they did a few years back. The trick is to wear them as per advised schedule, that is a maximum of twelve hours at a stretch. Also, they should be maintained hygienically. For the eyes drying, I just apply ayurvedic waxy kajal before sleep and that makes things perfectly easy.
I once tried another lens given to me for trial wear for a month. They were no where near bausch and lomb. In fact, they dried out and used to constantly rotate in the eye providing an uneasy feel. These annual lens are very superior to those monthly disposable ones.
