This movie may dampen many high hopes and expectations. After all when two power packed heroes of DC comics face off each other, people start having unrealistic hopes of witnessing a new standard of superhero movie not seen before. And the movie just about fails to grab that expectation and in the end people are accusing it as  a disappointment of the decade.

I was not an avid superhero fan neither did I have any interest in all these till a year ago. Although  I used to watch the animation programs of DC and Marvel in childhood. I watched the Batman trilogy and my perception and interest began to show in these type of movies. And so, when this movie was out I booked a second day first show amongst hundreds of others to experience this one.

Many people accuse the critics to be a Marvel fan for criticizing this. Let me clear it- I am unbiased. I felt the only positive for the film is its cast. Henry Cavill can never be replaced by any other as Superman. He played a superb role according to the movie demand. His blend of manly strength along with the cheekiness of a reporter strikes me. Gal Gadot as Wonder woman was also very fantastic, I am particularly a fan of Gal for her care free independent acting. Jessie's role for Lex Luthor was top class too as evident from the trailers. And yes - Ben Affleck. I was doubtful of him over Christian Bale but I was proved wrong. He really is the best man alive to play the Batman.

The movie begins with Superman's encounter with Zod that completely devastated the city of Metropolis. The loss of life and collateral damage left many feeling angry and helpless, including Bruce Wayne. And Batman gets convinced that Superman is a threat to humanity, so he embarks to set his personal vendetta upon him while the world debates the type of hero they want.Meanwhile Lex launches his own medicine against the Man of Steel.

The first half of the movie was slow paced but managed to build up an euphoric suspense that kept me glued. Everyone was gearing up for something apocalyptic. Everyone was waiting for the Batman vs Superman fight but none could figure out the cause for it. And come the second half, the movie starts to fade. Although not low on action sequences, but the movie failed to meet the expectations it earned in the first half. The suspense gets away, the encounters seem a tad boring and the movie appears too long. And the ending sort of suggests a Justice League movie in the future. But I will definitely praise the state-of-the-art action sequences as they were technically perfect.

The movie is not a complete disappointment and I would recommend people to be a part of this historic movie but not with very high hopes!
