Having not been the first one to watch the movie, expectations are purely relative to the initial response from all around. Though there was this normal urge to expect something significant considering the fact that the previous dark knight still reigns in our head.
But whatever the expectations you pull up, Christopher Nolan beats them all. He just places the dark knight to a completely new level. a level exhibiting his sheer brilliance!
Amazed by the distinctive characterization, be it the all powerful bane(tom hardy) who holds his dominant stature not just in his muscle but in his character. The freaky cool attitude of anna hathaway or the demure looking miranda tate with an enigmatic charm. And yes The batman showcasing his mortal abilities with his intelligence and believable intensification of his true spirit and mettle which enthrals his followers.. dialogues flow crisp with each and every word carrying significance. The humour is well maintained throughout the movie which keeps us wanting for more..
Screenplay is deftly etched not letting us astray even for a moment. We just await the next.
background score keeps the pace running high keeping us at the edge of our seats..
As one gets critical, there might be few things that people would have expected to end in a better way for instance considering the immense strength and façade created by bane people didn’t expect him to end the way he did. A dominant character vanishing in thin air..
performances by great actors such as morgan freeman or micheal caine add to the excellence in holding the mast at place.
There can be clearly no one favourite, was it bane or bale? was it the cheeky catwoman. This clearly brings about a new age of movie watching where in powerful performances rule the show rather than a character..and ya people do indeed appreciate it..
Overall a delightful experience of intelligent movie making..sure will mark a class apart from the history of superhero’s..the batman rises high above all!! This is a must watch ..not once but again and again ?
If at all a sequel is in store, expectations are sure soaring high..
