Just the beginning. Review on Batman Begins Movie

The two plus points of ''Batman Begins'' are that

one the movie relies a lot less on special effects than

previous Batman movies and two the ensemble cast is

mindblowing both in theory and in reality.

''Batman Begins'' concentrates fully on the origins of Batman, from

the death of his parents at the hands of a mugger to his transformation

as the dark knight. In this sense it is more darker and less gimmicky than

the previous 4 installments

The story begins with Bruce Wayne trying to understand the criminal mind

by living in a prison where he is rescued by Henri Ducard (Liam Neeson) who trains him and attempts to induct him the 'League of Shadows' led by Ra's al Ghul (Ken Watanabe).

Bruce Wayne refuses and destroy's Ghul's temple and returns to Gotham.

His mission to cleanse Gotham of all its evils.

But evil is not far behind in the form of Dr Crane aka Scarecrow (Cillian Murphy)

and gangster boss Carmine Falco (Tom Wilkinson). Of course Ducard is also thirsty

for revenge.

Bruce Wayne is assisted in his endeavours by his faithful butler Alfred (Michael Caine),inventor extraordinaire Lucius Fox (Morgan Freeman) who lends hims the tools needed to fight against evil including the first primitive version of the Batmobile.

Also at his side is childhood love and now asst DA Rachel Dawes (Katie Holmes) and the one and only non corrupt cop Gordon (Gary Oldman).

Christian Bale is a good selection to play Batman/Bruce Wayne and so are the other members of the cast.

But a better selection was the director, Christopher Nolan. He is totally in control

of the matter and his collaboration on the screenplay shows on the screen.

People looking for thrills and hi jinks action may not like this movie very much else all in all a good show

P.S. I hear news that another Batman is now in the works with the same cast except of course for Tom Cruise's girlfriend
