I ended up watching Batman Begins because I couldn't get tickets for another movie I wanted to watch. Not being a fan of any of the previous Batman movies, I had low expectations...
...I walked out of the theatre glad that I didn't get those tickets for the other movie!
This movie is about how Bruce Wayne, the orphaned billionaire became Batman. The story takes the viewer through all the emotional trauma Bruce Wayne faced after seeing his parents shot dead by a mugger, and how he converts that rage, fear, and need for revenge into doing something good...becoming Batman and saving Gotham city.
This movie skillfully depicts the human behind batman. He doesn't have superpowers, he just is a regular guy with a ton of money, supported by expensive gizmos to do good, and vent his emotional rage.
Not only is the movie interesting from a plot standpoint, it has simply outstanding effects and gizmos. If you though the Bat-mobile was good in the other movies, wait till you see this one! The fight scenes could have been better though...
Who should see this: All those people who love a good yarn with a lot of action and hi-tech gizmos. Even those who didn't like the previous Batman movies should give this a watch.
