Basketball was once a word in Toronto almost synonymous to the words ''Vince Carter''. At a time tickets for the Raptors games would go instantly and people were going crazy because the Raptors were doing so well.

Now a days people do not exactly cheer on the Raptors as much but they still love basketball. There are so many teams and almost everyone bets on whos going to win. Basketball to me is a fast paced sport which requires a lot of skills. It is just as much fun watching the sport as it is playing it.

There are many wonderful players now a days that may not even be in the NBA. Why is basketball such a famous sport? Honestly, your guess would be as good as mine. To many people this game is just addictive. It takes practice and dedication (if you want to join a team) and the words '' Practice makes Perfect'' could not be more true.

Now a days with teams like the L.A. Lakers, Pistons, Magics, etc. more and more people watch this sport everyday. Many people might be wondering why Vince Carter is not as popular as he may have been an year or two ago.

People say that it is because he can not play as well but that is not true to me. When your good at something you can only get better. Vince Carter mania was over mostly when they starting losing games after their streak of wins. Vince Carter is a very good player and he may have lost a bit of speed and strength because of his injuries but he is still the same man.

Vince Carter not only is very skilled but is also a very good looking man (he's got my vote). Although, even with people not going crazy over Vince many people are watching basketball more and more. Movies also promote basketball. In the hindi movies Koi....Mil Gaya and Lakeer you will see a basketball game going on . I think this is a wonderful way to make this sport known and liked.
