Is it just for the money?. Review on Baseball

I have watched baseball since I was little. I memorized the rules, cheered for my team when they went to the world series, and could actually sit through nine innings of a little ball being thrown and hit around a field. I now play softball and it is my absolute favorite sport. I love sitting down and watching the ball go from pitcher to catcher with occasional hits, yelling at the ump when appropiate and jumping out of my seat to see if that ball will make it over the wall. People say baseball's a slow sport, presumably for the slow-minded. Some enjoy the swift pace of basketball and the physicality of football.

Baseball is a serious game of concentration, for those with vision and breadth of mind. But has it been tainted by talk of million dollar contracts and showy marketing deals? Will baseballs name be forever sullied? Will it become just about the money? No, I don't think it can. There are too many die-hard and too many good players to let baseball turn into a show-off sport. Baseball is the good old game that I will always love above all other sports. Nothing can beat it, nothing will take it's place. It will be a sad day if ever I renounce baseball because of it's materialism. Until then, I will cheer, root for my home team and enjoy those crackerjacks!
