There's nothing about this film which hasn't been said on this site.It has been called from "an original slice of life" in a ridiculously poetic review to the worst film ever.

But almost all the people here think that this is an original film (if the above mentioned review is by the famous Subhash K. Jha, he should have known better before calling it "original").

The fact is this: this film's story has been copied from Pedro Almodavar's film "Live Flesh", which in turn was based upon the novel by Ruth Rendell.

As far as I am concerned even though I agree that Onir (My Brother...Nikhil) was brave enough to choose this story, the film is only ocassionally good.

Like in his previous film he intelligently hides the fact about the couple being gay allowing the audience time to sympathise with them. In this film he does not reveal what happens to Sanjay Suri in jail until he expects people to be involved.  This angle, by the way is one of the few original things here and it works. Being an optimist I take this as a good sign fo future films by Onir.

But these ocassional flashes of intelligence are not enough. Becasue on the whole the film is dull, muddled and terribly cast. The biggest virtues, I would say are music and Juhi Chawla, who as a long suffering wife is subdued and still shows her inner strength.
