Let me begin by saying, I HATE BARNEY!!!
Barney, the big purple dinosaur, has got to be the most obnoxious, annoying, repugnant, invidious creature ever to be invented!
He is supposed to help children (3-8 yrs) about manners, sharing, friends, etc. But, in my opinion, all he does is make the children look like fools! Hard to do, you say? No! Not hard for Barney to do.
He makes the children jump and dance around while singing, fatuous, half-witted, simpleton-like songs.
The children over act and over react to everything Barney says and does. My 5 year old niece thinks Barney is(in her words)''A big poople'' ''He's a duh duh''. She'd rather see Sesame Street, where the characters relate to the children, not make them look stupid.
I personally don't think Barney helps the children in any way what so ever. I'm sure they have no idea what the words in the inane songs even mean.
Well, now that I've ranted about Barney, you all must think I'm nuts! But, I just can not tolerate seeing that big purple dinosaur for one minute more! Even MisterRogers Neighborhood (zzzzzzzzzzz, my kids slept through him half the time)was more interesting and educational(in my opinion).
So to all you Barney fans out there(and you know who you are!) I love you, you love me, one big happy family........blah, blah, bla!
Hey, maybe Barney will go the way of all the other dinosaurs...EXTINCT !!
