Barista…. And you definitely think about coffee….The sandwiches are dull, the cakes just ok, and do stay away from the donuts! Like their counterpart Cafe Coffee day, Barista believes in microwaving the donut whcih is the worse thing ever as the icing will be sticky and burn your tongue, and the donut properly unedible after 2 minutes as the microwaving will prompt any moisture from going out of it.
You can still ask them not to microwave it, but you will soon realise that your donut isn’t fresh and comes straight out of a fridge.
The whole idea of a coffee joint is some place you pop into on your way to work or while your waiting for the rain to let up. Well not so at Barista. A visit into the joint will set you back anything between Rs. 50-100, so that doesn’t make it accessible to everybody, well not on a daily basis atleast.
The world over coffee joints are known for their regular ’’everyday’’ clientele who have their standard order day after day. If Barista wants to have that kind of following, they ought to have a huge discount program for regulars. I particularly find the seating very business like, a couple of couches would give the place a little warmth. The whole chain lacks that feeling of warmth, seems as though each outlet has been clinically replicated. I particularly find the lighting too bright, but that’s not too much of an issue.
Over all all my experiences were good but would like to add that its got tough competition from CCD
