Barclays people are troubling me almost everyday!. Review on Barclays Bank

I had applied for a Barclay's card in the month of December 07. I was forced to apply when they had set up a stall in my company for 3 days. After 3 months, I received a letter that my application was rejected. Anyway I didnt bother about the rejection. But for the last 1 week I have been getting desperate calls from this number on my mobile +911246711111. I had missed to attend the call on several occassions. The caller started to make missed calls. Then one fine day, I got the chance to check who the caller was. I was startled to receive a call from the Barclays people.

The executive on the other side informed me that my application has been accepted and that I will be given Barclays Times Card! Imagine my application has been processed after 8-9 months! I asked them why the rejection letter was sent to me earlier. They replied back saying that I had applied for the Gold card and it was not available at that moment! So Baclays Gold card became scare just like Fuel! But then I realised that they were upto some desperate marketing and I immediately told that I am not at all interested and not to trouble me anymore. But still I am receiving 4-5 calls per day from the same number. I had decided to see how Barclays perform through this review website and I was shocked to see the number of complaints. I thanked god for saving me from yet another disaster. I had previously fought a bitter battle with ABN Amro few years back.

Happy to say that after posting this review, all the calls from the particular number stopped abruptly from the next day itself! Wonder what struck them :)
