I am having very bad experience with Barclay Credit Card. Since past 1 yrs, I have been holding this card.
some time back I was suppose to pay 5000. Some of their representative came to me and asked for this 5000. In this 5000, there was some other charges. I asked thme to reverse these charges. They promised me to do that. So I paid 4900 hundred reupees less. After 5 days, I got a call for 100 rupees. Then I told them that one of your representative had come to my house and he had told me that penalty will be reversed. Then that guy (Who called me after 5 days) told that there is no way to reverse any penalty and you will have to pay it. I agreed on this and I told him to send the execative to collect the remaining amount. Their representative came and collected this money.
My due date was 9th and that representative came on 9th evening and collected it from me.
In my next month statement I saw that there is 500/- late fee slapped on me. I called to customer care for this. Then he told, you made a payment to third party not to Barclay and it took 2 working days to be credited in your account. So you have to pay this penalty.
I told to the CCR that if you call to other credit card customer care and ask for reversal of late payment then they do it but why cann't you do that. On this she told that this is the rule of this bank and it can not be done.
So for 100/- ruppes, I paid 500/- as a late fee.
Now you can see how great this product is.
