Hopefully this review too would help many members here. There has always been a question as to which place is the best place for buffet dinner? I have an answer to it.
It has to be Barbeque-Nation, by far the best buffet restaurant in town. In Mumbai there are more outlets of this franchises, but as I reside in Navi Mumbai this place is more convenient.
Not only the place is more convenient, but cheap too as compared to outlets at Khar and Andheri.
I've been to many buffet restaurants but this has to be the best as per my requirements. I needed quality food, even if the variety is less. And this was what I exactly got, as the food was very rich and tasty. The varieties were less as compared to other buffet restaurants but I was fine with it as I was more focused on quality.
Serving European, North Indian & Mediterranean, I would say Barbeque-nation was best in all the 3 sections. The pasta counter was the best as pastas were served hot, and yummy. The sauces were literally yummy with fresh corn.
What do you like or dislike about this restaurant?
There were many things that impressed me in this restaurant. The quality of food that was served was very rich. It was by far the best food served to me, right from the starters to main course to dessert. All of them were almost perfect.
I would be visiting soon this place again with my entire family.
The ambiance too was descent, with low music played. As I am a guy who love loud music, this section was a slight disappointment for me. But the food covered up this goof up.
Comfortable seating arrangements and decor just made my day.
Few things that I dislike was the slight delay in serving of the food. We entered in sharp at 12 and were expecting that the starters would be delivered by 12:10 maximum, but we didnt get the starters upto 12:15-12:20 pm which made us a bit uncomfortable.
But then once the starters were served, the service staff kept on serving us timely the starters and at that point of time they were real quick.
The peculiar thing about this place was that, once your done with the starters customers need to lower down the flag which is being hoisted initially. That's an indication to the staff saying that no more starters is being needed.
Frankly speaking, I did not try the main course as my main goal was to hog starters and desserts. But from the reaction that my friends gave after having main course, I could say that the main course too was good if not awesome.
What was the food like?
As mentioned the food was very yummy, especially the starters and if you have a experience of how to barbecue chicken then you wouldn't crib a bit. Initially barbecuing was a bit difficult but gradually we picked up and enjoyed spicy barbecue chicken.
Comment on flavor, temperature, portion size and appeal.
As mentioned it all depends on how you barbecue, so everything's in your hands when it comes to the starters. The desserts were one not to be missed here. There were around 10-12 desserts, all being very yummy.
One thing that I missed out was the temperature. As there are barbecue going all around, this place gets a bit hot and smoky too. We had to request the staff to switch on the fan and turn it towards us once when we were done with our barbecue.
Appeal too was very impressive.
Comment on the ambiance, music, staff appeal and speed of service.
As said, the ambiance was descent enough, music was low and I wish it would have been a bit higher and the speed of service initially was a bit slow. Then later on they picked up speed and gave wonderful service and they kept on asking time an again whether we need help. That was very good on their behalf, so people who go for the first time, not to worry as these guys help you out before you ask them for help.
Are reservations necessary?
Probably reservations are needed for weekends, but still to be on a safer side, reserve your table by calling. Barbeque nation is comparatively smaller than normal buffet restaurants, so better book a table if people are going in group.
A waiting time of around an hour is expected.
Cost for two is around 1200 including taxes and for drinks one has to pay extra.
Conclusion: This place is a total value for money!
If you haven't been here, then you have missed out on something large.
