For a quick summary, this is a place you would want to visit on a weekday with a group (or at least a company with whom you can talk a lot) when you have taken off from your office. This is not a place where you canhave a quick lunch or dinner and get on with your stuff. This is a place where you would want to have at least three courses of meals with lots of chit-chat and gossip as your stomach tries to accommodate each course. The multi-cuisine buffet consisting of veg as well as non veg foodcosts about 350 on weekdays and 550 on weekends.
Now going on to the details:
First of all, If you are planning to go to the place, you'd better reserve before going, especially if the branch is not a new one as its probably gonna be full. You can find out details about the restaurant at https://barbeque-nation.com.
Ambience: the place has two floors. You can choose the lower one with lesser ambience (its kinda dark over there the way I prefer), or the upper one which is quite lighted up.
Music: they play some really good old music both eastern(indian) and western that really suits with the lunch or dinner. But at times there is enough buzz going on in the restaurant that you might not be able to hear it.
Service: the service was very good both the times when I visited there. The starters and drinks which are served on the table arrive in almost perfect times. Also the behaviour of the staff is excellent. They are very polite.
Food: finally the food. The food is basically divided into three courses - starters, main meals and desserts.
Starters as well as any drinks are served on the table whereas there is a buffet system for the main meals and desserts. Now as per their name, before serving starters, they place small grills on the table itself on which the almost cooked starters can be cooked for a while before eating. There is quite a variety in the starters to keep you going on for atleast half an hour. The buffet includes one free drink including juices, mocktails, and beer. Any other or extra drinks will be billed seperately.
Once the starters are done, you'll have to get up to get yourself the main meals from the buffet table. There are quite some varieties in including north indian curries, pasta and lots of salads. If you're like me, you would like to have atleast one round of each type of food.
Once you are done with n rounds of the main course, you can start off with the dessert, which consists of lots of items from gulab jamoon and kheer to icecream to cake, mousse and lot of other stuff.
If you are a creative creature as me, you can actually make quite a few sundaes out of the items. My favourite combination is gulab jamoon with icecream and mousse. Apart from the good variety to choose from, the food also tastes very good. And considering you go on a weekday, two hours (or may be more) of good time and food for 350 is indeed a very good deal. I am a kind of person, who takes his time eatin his food and enjoys it. If you are one of those kinds, you would enjoy going here.
