Being a nature lover, a visit to Bannerughatta National Park was always on the card. I was very happy that atlast I made it along with my family & as I am writing this review I am enriched by the experience I had there. the thrill of getting close to nature and animals will always remain fresh in my mind. we left home at morning 10 by car but on going there I also found that the place is well connected by bmtc bus. the route is good, roads are good and so the ride was enjoyable. it is almost 22 kms from city.

On going there you can park your vehicle & proceed to the ticket counter where you can choose a tariff of your choice. Rs.100 per person for a grand safari on weekdays & rs.125 on weekends, senior citizen concession is available, but you will also need to buy a ticket for your camera. there are other tariff plans like tiger safari, elephant ride which r much cheaper compared to this but again u may miss out having a glance at most of the species inside the jungle. once inside the national park, we queued for boarding the bus which took atleast 20 min as there was a huge rush. the bus was comfortable & we began the ride. the driver rode safely & the conductor guided us to our sit.

on the way we met with reindeer, bear, monkey, lion, tiger, white tiger. this made our day. the bus stopped whenever we could track an animal n allowed us to take photos. it is very much safe inside the bus. also inside the sanctuary the animals are divided territory wise. the flora & fauna was breathtaking inside the jungle. the ride was approx for 45-60 min, & while returning we saw the butterfly park. we then proceeded inside the zoo which is vast and harbours many kinds of animals, birds & reptiles. we saw white peafowl, peacock which opened its feathers to dance, many varieties of birds, ducks, crocodile, snakes, tortoise, reindeer, leopard, elephant and more. the trees shaded the place and took care of the comfort. people walked around leasurely eating n playing with kids. inside the zoo cold drinks & snacks r available though meals are not available. there is a museum as well & an aquarium too which are worth taking a glance. We spend around 4 hrs with wildlife & return back with an enriching experience never to forget!
