I won't say it's Subramanian's best but it has all the typical elements; the story-line is fast and gripping. The author goes out of his tested arena in this one with quite a bit of academia, research and peer-politics in universities and I'm partial here, but there are loopholes.
As always, things start uncannily falling into place, as if just to solve the mystery. As a thriller, the story builds up tension at a steady pace that only catches steam in the last quarter. The story is fast paced and interesting. Like the author's previous books, the book starts of with multiple plots, all of which are interwoven.
However, the last thing that the story is would be predictable so yes, it's worth the time. It's not a very lengthy novel and I'd say the best way to go about it is to be done with it at a go; it's too engrossing anyway to leave it mid-way.
