I have account in Bank of Baroda bank since I was in college. Actually they have approached students for opening student account in the bank. So by this way I have open account there. I have another joint account with my mom in the same bank which was inactive since many years. So it became dormant account. There was around 5000Rs. balance.
Now recently I was needed that money for medical emergency. Due to dormant account, they told me to reactive it by submitting documents of both account holders. I did it and account became active again. Now as this was quite old account, I wasn't having cheque book at that time, and as I was in emergency I wasn't interested in finding them either. So I told them about my situation and asked for withdrawal sleep. In that situation also, they demanded for old cheque book, and if I can't then I have to stop payment of all those missing cheques and they will charge me for the same. They told me that I can't withdraw before than that!? How can they say like that. It was my money and no body can stop me from withdrawing it in that situation. Staff behavior was really bad in that case. I have to go through branch manager and then he allowed me to withdraw my money.
They really not care for their customer and this is the proof. They don't even care for such old customer. That was really bad experience. With that they have made really bad impression for me. What is benefit of having account in any bank, if they can't even understand the medical emergency. Too bad.
