Worst Bank Ever. Poor Service & Careless Staff

I had a students account (savings acc for students) opened in this bank by my college and i'm using their banking service since last 3 years. Here is the list of issues I faced.


1. Stupid and careless staff(had to visit their local branch for 6 months to get my ATM card):  I had applied for ATM card when my college opened my account in this bank. As most of the banks do, ATM card was to be delivered to me via post along with PIN details. All of my classmates got their ATM and PIN delivered within 2 months after opening their respective accounts but mine didn't arrived even after 6 months.


So I visited the branch from where I had opened my account and asked them for my ATM card.


They kept saying'we have requested a new ATM and come back again in 1 month' for next 6 months. I visited 6 times to the same branch and got same 'come back again after 1 month' reply from them. Finally after 1 year and 2 months and 7 trips to that branch later, they provided my ATM card. Which as it turned out was in the branch for last 7 months. It was inside the drawer of a lady staff member who repeatedly told me that my ATM is not in this branch and they will have to request a new ATM from their head office. I still remember the face she made and muttered 'arey ye to 7 mahine se yehi pada hai' when she found my ATM in her drawer. imbecile c#nt


Now since The password was already expired by the time I got my ATM. I had to wait another 2 months [and 3 trips] to get my PIN and activate my ATM card.




  1. None of the bank of baroda ATM works in my city: In last 2 years, I have visited bank of baroda ATMs~15 times. And Every single time, either ATM unit is down [not even powered on] or there is a big notice saying'ATM is out of order'. This happened to all ATM units i've ever visited in my city(3 of them)




EDIT: last week, I managed to find a working BoB ATM, tried to withdraw some money, ATM machine died during the transaction, leaving me with Rs.1500 less in my account. Seems like there was no UPS to power the ATM machine during regular power cuts. I guess that explains why I never managed to find a working ATM in my city. anyways, I had to wait for~2 hours, lodge a complaint to BoB CC and they refunded the amount within a couple of days. wanted to increase the rating by 1 star but since the problem was created due to their poor maintenance and lack of equipment, I won't.




  1. I had applied for internet banking last year in december. They said I will get my Internet banking ID and details via post in 15 days. Its been 5 months and I still haven't got it. I visited them on 7th jan 2014, 3rd feb 2014, 6th march 2014 and again on 7th april.




They asked me to fill the internet banking request form 4 times in last 5 months. And I still haven't got my internet banking service activated yet. They are not giving me any reasons, just ask me to fill and submit the form again.


Pathetic service and non existing customer service, I wouldn't recommend this bank to anyone.


EDIT: finally got my password for the baroda connect netbanking service. but my account is still not activated yet. its been 6 months since I had applied for Baroda connect. Stupid bank!


EDIT2: They had promised activation of user ID within 48 hrs after I received my password. I wasn't activated even after 6 days. Called their CC. They activated it within 15 mins. Wouldn't increase star rating for their good CC because the problem itself is created by their staff. (On both occassions when I had to contact CC)


EDIT3: Another example of their ignorant staff. I asked them if I can open another account in the same branch. They denied, I asked the customer care about this and they confirmed that I can open and operate multiple accounts. CC suggested me that I should write a complain about this issue with their staff at bob website. Wouldn't do that as I'm Switching to SBI now.
