BoB is one of the most heard name in banking. I too just heard its name a lot of times but I don't know much about it in the past. Once I needed to pay a DD and went a bank(as I in some other place than my native). They said they will accept only the a/c holders. Then 2 to 3 other banks said the same statement. Then I entered Bank of Baroda office for the first time.
I inquired about DD and they said they will accept everyone. Then I made a DD through it. I enquired the facilities provided by the bank. They patiently explained everything. Then in the next week itself I made an a/c in that bank. Now I am experiencing a great experience with its banking. It has phone banking, net banking etc. It will provide cheque book instantly without any transactions to be made. They will provide rewards on debit card usage too. Instead these positive angle they too have some disadvantages. Normally in all the banks they will provide a/c books instantly, but here after our application is given with minimum balance payment they take at least 5days for handovering the passbook to us. This is due to that they have to get approval from their central office of the respective state.
Another con is they usually take more time for sending mobile updates. Sometimes they don't send any messages regarding our payments in our account. Despite these it will gonna be a great banking experience for everyone.
