Banjo is music based film but it doesnt justify the music theme. From script to performances, there is nothing special about this movie. Riteish Deshmukh plays a character of Taraat Bhai. Apart from playing Banjo( the instrument that he plays), he also works for a living and lives in slum area. Then comes Nargis Fakhri in picture who is from New york and is a Dj. She wants to be successful and decides to participate in music festival. One day her friend sends her the music tape of Mumbai's Benjo artists. She decides to search for them so that she can work with them. She comes to Mumbai, meets Ritesh but she doesn't come to know that he is the same person she is searching for till interval. Such a boring plot. The climax of the movie doesnt do justice either.

Ritesh's performance is not impressive. He could do much better. Nargis can't act. Hope she learns it before her next movie. She can't emote. The supporting cast and music was good. Overall the movie tested my patience. You can surely give it a miss.
